That’s what Akshay Kumar seems to be humming these days. The actor who raised a realm of his own in the last two years is reluctant to stop right there. Akshay is far from satisfied with the kind of response he’s generated in desi circles. He now wants to overcome the overseas market as well. And to achieve the feat, he’s shortly going to set out on a promotional journey of his latest flick Chandni Chowk to China. Akshay’s schedule in the next few days is choc-a-bloc with premiers of the film in as many as seven cities across the world. Akki has chartered a flight worth crores of bucks to various destinations.

The actor will attend each of these screenings personally, with wife Twinkle and co-actress Deepika Padukone by his side. The CC2C team will first stop at Los Angeles, USA on the 7th of January, after which they’ll head to New York on the 9th. Toronto, Canada on the 10th, London on the 11th, Dubai on the 12th, Bangkok on the 13th and finally New Delhi on the 14th of January will sum up their itinerary.

The market for Bollywood outside India has developed strappingly in the last two decades or so. And Shah Rukh Khan has apparently contributed extensively to the popularity it enjoys. The Badshah is known to be a huge favourite with the NRI population. Akshay’s enthusiastic new promotional strategy seems to be an encroachment on SRK’s territory. Will it work in the Chandni Chowk lad’s favour? We’ll wait and watch.

After the roaring success of Singh Is Kinng, Akshay Kumar fans are eagerly awaiting the release of the superstar's next flick, Chandni Chowk To China. While the film was initially supposed to release sometime at the end of this year, it got pushed due to certain reasons and is now scheduled to release on Jan 16, 2009.

However, the good news is that the song promo of the film will be out on 23rd of this month. The promo features the title track of the film and is indeed something worth waiting for. Chandni Chowk To China starring Akshay Kumar along with Deepika Padukone is directed by Nikhil Advani and compared to his earlier flicks like Kal Ho Naa Ho and Salaam-e-Ishq, Chandni Chowk To China is much shorter in duration with only 2 hours and 20 mins of running time. Also, this is the first time that Nikhil will be making action comedy unlike his earlier two movies which were romantic.

While the makers were toying around with the idea of releasing this film around Christmas this year, the latest is that the film has now been pushed to January next year (2009).

In fact, the makers, Warner Bros., would be coming out with ads on September 9th in all the leading newspapers announcing the new release date of Chandni Chowk To China. September 9th incidentally also happens to be Akshay Kumar’s birthday.

So, the die-hard Akki fans will have to wait till Sept 9th to know when the star’s action comedy flick, Chandni Chowk To China, will release.
