The Transformers star, 23, said that she was not an easy catch for guys, and preferred to make that known.

Rihanna is finally all set to break four months of silence, and to testify about her alleged beating by boyfriend Chris Brown.
The ‘Umbrella’ hit-maker could face a deluge of questions about the choking, biting and "barrage of punches" she allegedly received during a violent pre-Grammy night lovers'' quarrel last February.

Prosecutors have subpoenaed the 21-year-old singer, so that they can have sufficient evidence to try Brown on felony charges of assault and making criminal threats.

However, R ‘n’ B star Brown, 20, has pleaded not guilty.

"(The subpoena) is not a guarantee they will call her as a witness, but I fully expect that they will. She will testify truthfully," the New York Daily News quoted Rihanna's lawyer Donald Etra as saying.

Pop star Micheal Jackson has been sued yet again. This time, it is by the woman who played his girlfriend in the super hit Thriller video.

Actress Ola Ray, a former Playboy Playmate has filed a suit against Jackson and his company alleging a breach of contract.

According to TMZ.com, Ray's attorney claims she was allegedly promised a part of the revenue of the 1983 promo of hit track Thriller but she claims that has still not received a penny.

The epic 14-minute video was the most expensive promo of its time, at $500,000.

The former Playmate who is an ardent supporter of PETA (People for Ethical Treatment of Animals) will design a range of leather-free shoes and casual clothes, including hooded tops, skirts and swimwear, in collaboration with designer Richie, reported ‘Contactmusic.com’.

"I really don't like to wear clothes. I would rather go naked. But I love Richie's designs, so I agreed to be part of it," said the 41-year-old 'Baywatch' star.

Millions of dollars raised from Madonna’s Malawi fundraiser last year have no address, it has emerged.

According to ‘Fox News’, the estimated 3.7 million dollars remain unaccountable after repeated inquiries to The Gucci Foundation and the singer’s Raising Malawi charity.

The Queen of Pop had previously urged her fellow celebrities to donate for the cause, which is backed by Jewish mysticism Kabbalah and dedicated to helping Malawi''s one million poverty-stricken orphans.

The US-based channel claimed that fourteen months ago the entire event was alleged to have been underwritten and the amount divided between Raising Malawi and UNICEF.

But, both the Gucci Foundation and Madonna’s non-profit organisation were yet to file a Form 990 tax statement, leaving room for suspicion, according to the channel.

The development comes at a time when the megastar is back in the African country for a second adoption.

The 50-year-old, who adopted three-year-old David Banda from the region, recently pleaded to Lilongwe’s High Court to let her take home four-year-old Mercy James, whose teenage mother had died three years ago.

She will next appear in court for the ongoing adoption process on April 3.

A Mexican issue of the Playboy magazine showing the cover of a model allegedly posing like the Virgin Mary has caused outrage among some Catholics.

December is the month in which (m) millions of Mexican Catholics celebrate the festival of the Virgin of Guadalupe, which showcases a rich variety of Virgin Mary images.

However the cover of Playboy magazine may have been the last place Catholics would have expected to see a picture they many say depicts the Virgin Mary.

The Mexican edition of the gentleman's magazine features a nude woman with a white sheet draped over her head and body standing next to a prop that resembles a stained glass window.

In the picture, Playboy model Maria Florencia Onori poses as a representation of the Virgin. The December issue of the magazine was released a day before the traditional Day of the Virgin of Guadalupe, patroness of Mexico.

The pose and facial expression evoke the docile and innocent image of the Virgin Mary seen in many paintings and statues.

Most pupular TV show 'Baywatch' are looking for the next Pamela Anderson for their new version of 'Baywatch'. This new version will introduce local actors but its still untitled. The producers are on the toe to find out the next Baywatch babe.

Producer Walter Brown, who has partnered with creator Greg Bonnan on the series, said, "Baywatch had all the elements to be extraordinarily successful in its day. Of course every producer hopes for that kind of success and, personally, I think New Zealand has the magic to do it."

American actor Brad Pitt has revealed that his partner actress Angelina Jolie is pretty useless in the kitchen, and that the only thing she has ever cooked for him is “cereals”.

According to ‘Guardian’, Pitt, 44, has revealed this fact in the new issue of chef Jamie Oliver's eponymous magazine.

The famous cook's first issue contains the whole interview with Pitt, and it will be available in WH Smith stores on December 4, reports ‘Us’ magazine.

Britney Spears says her life is so dull under her father's watchful eye that she feels old and boring. With her new album Circus out next week, the 26-year-old singer is working on a comeback after seeing her life spiral out of control with a run of strange behavior, a bitter custody battle over her two sons and the loss of her rights to administer her own affairs.

"I feel like an old person now," Spears told Rolling Stone in an interview for the music magazine's December 11 issue. "I do! I go to bed at, like, 2130 every night and I don't go out or anything, you know what I mean? I just feel like an old fart."

In 2007, the Louisiana native was a near-constant figure on the Hollywood party scene. She shaved her head, then wore a pink wig and spoke with a fake British accent. By early this year, she was hospitalised twice for psychiatric evaluation.

By February, a California court named her father as a conservator of her estate, giving Jamie Spears control over her personal and business affairs. Since then, she seems to have put her life back in order.

Womaniser, the first single from Circus, reached the top of Billboard's Hot 100 singles chart in October. The album is set for release on December 2, the singer's 27th birthday and she plans to tour this spring to promote it.

Pop queen Madonna's split with her director husband Guy Ritchie got the legal stamp on Friday after the High Court in London granted them a preliminary divorce. Madonna and Ritchie did not attend the hearing.
The "decree nisi" was pronounced by District Judge Caroline Reid after the couple agreed not to demand a financial settlement from each other, the Telegraph reported. The divorce will become final after a period of six weeks and a day.

Their case - Ciccone M L v Ritchie G S - was listed before District Judge Reid and was announced in Court 10 of the Principal Registry of the High Court's Family Division, the paper said.

The 50-year-old singer and her 40-year-old British filmmaker husband had announced their decision to separate in mid-October after a marriage of eight-years.

The duo had married in lavish ceremony in 2001. Madonna will keep most of her USD 440 million fortune after Ritchie said he did not want "any of her money".

They have also agreed to share custody of their two boys, eight-year-old Rocco and three-year-old adopted David Banda.

Under the British law, Ritchie, whose fortune is estimated at some 30 million pounds, could have claimed to half of Madonna's wealth earned during their seven and a half year marriage but he reportedly rejected the offer.

The bone of contention between the high profile couple were their two children, with both of them wanting to keep the children.

Madonna and Ritchie will now share the custody of their children, who will divide their time between New York with their mother and London with their father.

Madonna's 12-year-old daughter Lourdes, from a previous relationship, will live in America with her mother. Ritchie will, however, keep the couple's 1,200 acre estate in Wiltshire - reported to be worth 12 million pound - and the Punchbowl Pub in Mayfair.

Initial reports had suggested that the divorce was headed for yet another bitter celebrity court drama on the line of the Sir Paul McCartney's acrimonious separation from Heather Mills because Ritchie wanted a pie from singer's fortune but Ritchie later he was not interested in Madonna's money.

The singer had hired Fiona Shackleton, who represented Sir Paul McCartney's case while Ritchie had hired Lady Helen Ward and Stephen Cobb, QC, one of the top children's lawyers in Britain.

According to close friends Madonna's desire to adopt another child had been a source of friction between the couple.

Madonna is currently on the American leg of her "Sticky and Sweet" tour, while Ritchie is working on his latest film "Sherlock Holmes", starring Jude Law.

Their children Rocco and David are currently with their father and the eldest boy was seen on the "Sherlock Holmes" set.

President-elect Barack Obama's two young daughters have been invited to appear on popular kids television show "Hannah Montana," actor Billy Ray Cyrus said an interview aired on Monday.

Cyrus, the father of "Hannah Montana" star Miley Cyrus and also an actor on the hit Disney Channel show, said the show had asked Malia, 10, and Sasha Obama, 7, to take part in an episode possibly around April.

"They probably will. The invitation is there," Cyrus told ‘Access Hollywood’ in an interview. "You know the 'Hannah Montana' film comes out in April. Maybe something might happen around then."

Pressed for details, Cyrus said; "I can't, I can't. I have got to keep a secret."

"Hannah Montana", in which Miley Cyrus plays a school girl with a secret life as a pop star, is one of the most popular kids television series in the United States with a huge audience and merchandising empire worth about $1 billion.

Obama has said in interviews that Malia is a big fan of "Hannah Montana," but the Obamas have shielded the girls from the media and it remains to be seen whether they will want their daughters to take part in the show.

Samuel Jackson riding Last Dragon remake

After Samuel L. Jackson is taking on another heavy role. Having most recently played a dirty cop in Lakeview Terrace, Jackson is set to star as a bad guy again in a remake of Motown Records founder Berry Gordy’s 1985 cult classic The Last Dragon.
Jackson will play Sho’Nuff, the Shogun of Harlem, a role played in the original by the late Julius Carry, whose spiel included asking ego-driven questions like “Am I the baddest mofo lowdown around this town?” Each time his gang of thugs answered, “Sho’Nuff!”

Columbia Pictures’ updated plot will be along the same lines of the original, centering on young martial arts student Leroy Green in his quest through the streets of New York to achieve the highest level of martial arts accomplishment, known as the The Last Dragon. The original, which also starred one-namers Taimak and then-Prince protegee Vanity, was released in March 1985 by TriStar Pictures and received lukewarm reviews. Roger Ebert said it was a “great near-miss.” The Last Dragon managed to do well at the box-office, grossing nearly $26 million.

Tom Ford fashions cast for feature foray

Fashion designer Tom Ford is getting the cast in place for his long-awaited move into features. Colin Firth, Julianne Moore and Matthew Goode are set to star in A Single Man, Ford’s adaptation of the Christopher Isherwood novel. Published in 1964, the novel centres on a gay man who, after the sudden death of his partner, is determined to persist in his usual routine, which is seen in the span of a single, ordinary day in southern California.

Firth is the gay man, an Englishman and professor who feels like an outsider in Los Angeles. Goode is the boyfriend who dies in a car accident and appears in flashbacks. Moore plays a friend of the professor.

Ford adapted the screenplay for the independently financed project with David Scearce. A Monday start date is being eyed. Ford rose to the top of the fashion world with a 10-year run at Gucci, a period that turned around the fortunes of the fashion house. He stepped down in 2004, signing on with CAA with the aim to slide into the director’s chair. Firth was last seen in Mamma Mia! and Moore in Blindness. Goode plays Ozymandias in next year’s Watchmen.

Anand Tucker ('Shopgirl') is attached to direct the feature, adapted by writer Lucinda Coxon ('Wild Target') from David Ebershoff's 2000 Viking bestseller. His debut novel of the same name is a fictionalized account of the Wegeners' true story.

Pre-production has begun on the indie film, but no details on a principal photography start date have been disclosed.

Both Kidman and Theron earned their best actress Oscars playing lesbian characters, in 'The Hours' and 'Monster', respectively. Additionally, Kidman is attached to play Dusty Springfield in a biopic about the bisexual English singer.

American actress Lindsay Lohan has admitted her love for DJ Samantha Ronson, but with insistence that she is not a lesbian.
Lohan also credited her growing relationship with Ronson for keeping her grounded.

“She's a wonderful person and I love her very much,” ‘People’ magazine quoted her as having told Harper's Bazaar magazine.

Asked whether she was a lesbian or bisexual, Lohan immediately answered “no” to the first, and about the second, she answered “Maybe. Yeah.”

Both Lohan and Ronson have never ever gone public about the nature of their relationship, and the ‘Mean Girls’ star believes that if she did, the relationship would never work. “I feel like it jinxes it,” she said.

“It’s hard. The second I start talking about whomever I'm seeing, a month or two later it's failed,” she stated about her reluctance to talk about it.

Pop star Britney Spears plans to set the record straight about her personal and professional woes in a documentary to be aired shortly before the release of her new album Circus in December.

In the 90-minute film, Britney: For the Record, Spears talks about her high-profile meltdown, which included stints in rehab and psychiatric hospital units, an ugly divorce, losing custody of her two sons and shaving her head.

"I sit there and I'll look back and I'm like: I'm a smart person. What the hell was I thinking?" the 26-year-old singer says in the documentary shot by filmmaker Phil Griffin over three-months.

In the past six months or so, Spears' father Jamie has taken over management of her affairs and helped get his daughter's life back on track. She has made guest appearances on US TV series How I Met Your Mother and is due to release her sixth studio album on her Dec. 2 birthday.

The album marks the follow-up to 2007's Blackout, which was also billed as a comeback, but failed to return Spears to the commercial heyday she enjoyed at the turn of the century.

The documentary, described as showing "the reality of trying to live a normal life after all that has been exposed through the media," is set to air on MTV on November 30.

"So much has gone on over the last couple of years and there's a lot that people don't know about me that I want them to know," Spears said in a statement. "I wanted to make this film because I started to feel like I wasn't being seen in the light that I wanted to be seen in. This is an opportunity to set the record straight and talk about what I've been through and where I'm headed," she said.

Madonna and Guy Ritchie will soon be filing for divorce since they ‘can’t bear to live with the pretence any longer’, according to reports.

The celebrity couple has reportedly decided to call it quits publicly after firing a row of arguments at each other, including the amount of time each devotes to their careers and Madonna's desire to adopt another child.

Though the pair is said to have made attempts in the past to resolve their growing issues but things have gone out of their hands and the couple is allegedly desperate for divorce.

“They just couldn’t live together any more,” the Sun quoted a source as saying.

“Despite huge attempts to patch things up they both knew deep down that divorce was on the cards. They tried hard over the last few months but their fighting was getting out of control,” the source added.

Friends of the 50-year-old mum revealed that the singer wanted to wait till her Sticky & Sweet world tour was over but now both cannot wait to get rid of each other.

The source said: “The final straw came before Madonna started her US tour. Madonna wanted a highly stage-managed separation, with their split being announced when it was convenient for her.

“She didn’t want the distraction while she is trying to concentrate on her tour. But a series of rows around Guy’s 40th birthday last month were so bad that Madge ended up storming out of the house and Guy’s had enough.

“Guy said if they were going to split, it has to be now — and their marriage will finally be over in a matter of weeks.”

Married for seven years, the singer and her Brit movie director husband were also said to be arguing over their careers. The source said: “Lately Guy has been putting his foot down about a lot of stuff.

“He is sick of his career taking a backseat to hers and was determined to spend as long as he had to promoting RocknRolla here, even if it meant being away from Madonna rehearsing in the US.”

On the familial issues of their kids having to move from one place to another, the source further revealed: “Guy wants Madonna to stop uprooting them and let them stay in one place.”

Charlize Theron will have to pay perhaps $20 million for wearing the wrong watch, a Manhattan judge has ruled.

Watchmaker Raymond Weil has already won summary judgement in a federal civil complaint that Theron broke their deal by failing to exclusively wear the pricey timekeeper in public.

The company is seeking $20 million as damages, reports nypost.com.

Theron and her production company, Denver & Delilah Films Inc, were listed as defendants. The Monster star begged out of penalties, but US District Court Judge Colleen McMahon denied her plea.

"It is obvious that Theron cannot be dismissed... she was not an unwary agent," McMahon wrote, noting that Theron's initials appeared 10 times on the 10-page contract the actress broke.

Damages will be awarded at a jury trial.

Playboy magazine is offering a new way to lose your shirt on Wall Street.

The adult entertainment magazine, long famous for its photo spreads of nude women and lessons in living the urbane life of the well-heeled bachelor, is launching a search for models to pose for its upcoming feature, "Women of Wall Street."

Playboy came up with the idea for the feature after the onset of the global financial crisis, which has vaporised fortunes and left Wall Street reeling. It is planned for the February 2009 edition of the monthly magazine and on its website.

"When the news gets bad, then maybe that's a chance to make people smile by coming up with something that puts a different twist on it," said Gary Cole, Playboy's photo editor.

Playboy and Playboy.com frequently run specials such as "Girls of Olive Garden" and "Women of Home Depot," but in the past it has garnered attention for big business news themes.

It published "Women of Enron" and "Women of WorldCom" after the companies' spectacular failures. The magazine ran a "Women of Wall Street" feature nearly 20 years ago.

Playboy is seeking current and former employees of the financial world, and is especially interested in those with more senior job experience.

"It would be more interesting to have someone who's a financial analyst," said Cole.

Models must work for a financial institution or have recently worked for one, and prove that they are at least 18 years old.

"How many attractive women do you ... think there are working on Wall Street and the affiliated companies?" Cole said when asked how much success he thought Playboy would have in finding candidates. "There has to be thousands and thousands."

Playboy likely will photograph about 20 women, he said, adding that compensation would depend partly on how many women apply.

"Whether you offer them $500 or $1,000 or $2,000 a piece, that's probably not going to change anybody's mind," he said. "The reason they do this is because they want the attention, the opportunity, the experience of doing it. It's not really for the money."

A porn studio in Los Angeles is searching for a Sarah Palin look-alike for shooting an adult movie.

For this purpose, the studio has published online advertisements on the Los Angeles webpage of sales and social networking site Craig's List.

The ads state that the woman to portray US Republican vice-presidential candidate in the movie will earn from $2,000 to $3,000 for the role.

"Looking for a Sarah Palin look-alike for an adult film to be shot in next 10 days," a newspaper quoted the ad as saying.

"Please send pictures, statistics etc. ASAP," it added.

The newspaper report hints that the studio hails from Los Angeles'' San Fernando Valley region, which is also home to Warner Bros, NBC Universal, The Walt Disney Company, Nickelodeon and Cartoon Network.
